DELP, Ima Cole - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

ROCKVILLE — Ima Lee Delp, 100, Rockville, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 in Heritage House, Clinton, following a brief illness. She was born Aug. 3, 1907 near Perrysville, the daughter of John Henderson and Lillie Ellen (Adam) Cole. She married Jesse Everett Delp March 7, 1935. He preceded in death Aug. 8, 1976. She graduated from Perrysville High School in 1925. She moved to Rockville in 1978 from Tangier. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed her family gatherings. She attended New Discovery Baptist Church in Rockville. Survivors include: a son, Charles B. (Audrey) Delp and a daughter, Patricia (Richard) Porterfield, both of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Pastor Kyle Allen officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. – jlr
