Marshall -- Mrs. Edna S. Delp, 82 year old retired teacher and post office employee, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at her home here after a months' illness. She was born Sept 1, 1882, to reuben and Eva Brown Sanders in Jackson Twp, Fountain County and was a Wallace HS graduate, attended Depauw and was graduated from Indiana University. She married Henry E. Delp May 22, 1912. He died Oct 30, 1962. Mrs. Delp was a member of the Marshalll Federated Church. She taught Sunday School, was a 4-h Club leader and also for some years taught in the public schools. From 1941 to 1956 she was a post office clerk here. Surviving are a son, Robert O. Delp of Rt. 1 Marshall and two granddaughters, Delores and Deborah Delp. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald S. Delp and by a brother and only 10 days ago by a twin sister, Mrs. Stella Standish. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.

She was born Sept 1, 1882 to Reuben and Eva Brown Sanders in Jackson Twp, Fountain County and was a graduate of Wallace HS. She attended DePauw and was graduated from Indiana University. Bloomingdale - Mrs. Edna Delp, age 82, of Marshall, native of Fountain County and former school teacher, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday Sept 6, at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial was in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Delp, who died at her home, had been ill one month. She was born Sept 1, 1882, in Fountain County, the daughter of Reuben and Eva Brown Sanders. She was married May 22, 1912, to Henry E. Delp, who preceded her in death in 1962. She was graduated from Wallace High School, attended Indiana University and taught school several years. She was a member of the Marshall Federated Church. Surviving are: one son, Robert of Marshall Rt l, and two granddaughters, Delores and Deborah Delp. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one brother and a twin sister.
