DELP, Arbie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Arbie Delp, 82, of Hillsboro died Sunday night at his home. Mr. Delp retired in 1962 after 33 years of employment with the maintenance department of New York Central Railroad. He had attended School in Parke County and was a member of Prairie Chapel Church. He was born Jan 12, 1897 in Parke County a son of Dick and Jane Delp.  He was married at Lebanon Oct 1, 1972 to the former Flossie Shafer who survives.  Other survivors are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Vivian Shepherd of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Stella Staggs of Waveland; and a brother, Lon Delp of South Bend.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with Rev. Bertha Knox officiating.  Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call at the funeral home 55-8 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz
