Covington Dec 26 - Another death in the DeHaven family which marks the third within less than 3 weeks occurred Sunday afternoon when Mrs. Nellie DeHaven wife of Dr. Samuel DeHaven of Peru passed away a victim of influenza. Dr. DeHaven and wife were called here a short time ago from their home to attend the bedside of Mr. DeHaven's mother who died a few days later. Following the funeral of the mother, the dau-in-law was stricken with the disease and was in a critical condition until a day or two ago when a change for the better occurred and her speedy recovery was predicted Sunday about noon she suffered a relapse and despite the efforts of the attending physicians and all that loving hands could do she passed into her eternal sleep. Only the day before her sister-in-law, Mrs. James Martin, aged 23 was buried having died from an attack of the influenza, contracted since the death of her mother. A sister of the deceased, Mrs. Pearl Brandenburg who came to attend her in her illness is also a victim of the disease. -- kbz
