Miss Audrey DeHaven, 78, Covington, died at 5:40 a.m., Thursday (Nov 6, 1969) in Danville Care, where she had been a patient since Oct. 16. She had been in ill health two years. She was born April 9, 1891, in Covington, a daughter of Henry W. and Elizabeth Nebeker DeHaven. She is survived by a sister, Miss Jesse DeHaven of 618 Fourth, Covington, with whom she made her home. She had been a resident of Covington, except for 10 years in Whiting, Ind. Miss DeHaven was a case-worker for the Fountain County Welfare Department for 20 years and retired in 1963. She was a member of Whiting Methodist Church, Covington Business and Professional Women's Club, Richard Henry Lee Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Alpha Gamma Chapter of Tri Kappa, Troy Homemakers Club and the Luncheon Bridge Club. Services Saturday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. - jlr

(Note hard to read) – Covington – Funeral services for Miss Audrey DeHaven, age 78 of 616 Fourth Street,  Covington who died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday Nov 6 in Danville Care where she had been a patient since Oct 16 were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. Robert H. Miller, pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Miss DeHaven who had been in ill health two years was born April 9, 1891 in Covington the daughter of Henry W. and Elizabeth Nebeker DeHaven. She had been a life resident of Covington with the exception of 10 years in Whiting. She was a caseworker for the Fountain County Welfare Department for 20 years, retiring in 1961.  She was a member of the Whiting Methodist Church, Covington Business and Professional Women’s Club, ,the Richard Henry lee Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Alpha Gamma Chapter of the Tri Kapps sorority, the Troy Extension Homemakers Club and Luncheon Bridge Club.  Miss DeHaven is survived by one sister, Miss Jessie DeHaven of 616 Fourth St, Covington with whom she made her home. - kbz
