Alva Laurence DeHaven, 80, died at 4 p.m. Friday, January 9, 1959 at his home at Crescent City, Fla.
Born January 25, 1879, in Covington, he was the son of A. B. and Margaret Osborn DeHaven. He was married to the former Ruth Hatfield.
Survivors include the wife and daughter, Mrs. Mary Charlotte Gocio, both of Crescent City; two brothers, Robb and Arista of Covington, and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Services were held Tuesday at Crescent City. The body was cremated and the remains will be returned to Covington at a later date. - jz
