Veedersburg, Jan 19 (1944)– Death came to Zachary Deck, 73, a farmer residing 5 miles south of here at an early hour Wednesday morning at the home of is daughter, Miss Elsie Deck, teacher in the Connersville HS. Mr. Deck who had been in failing health for several months had been spending the winter with his daughter. He came to this vicinity about 30 years ago from Bismarck, Ill. His wife, Nancy High Deck, preceded him in death about five years ago. Surviving are two daughter, Elsie at whose home he died and Mrs. Nellie Hess of Elkhart, Ind. Funeral services will be at 1 o’clock Friday afternoon at the New Century Church south of Veedersburg.
