Veedersburg – Mrs. Cora Belle Deck, 85 of Rt 3, Veedersburg died Monday at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville where she had been a patient five weeks. A native of Topeka, Kan she was born Dec 23, 1882 the daughter of Philip and Mary Carter Allison. Prior to moving to Veedersburg she resided in the Bismarck-Alvin areas of Illinois. She attended the Bismarck schools and was a member of the Bismarck First Church of Christ. Her marriage Dec 14, 1904 was to William Deck who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Bessie) Starr of near Alvin, Ill; Mrs. Harry (Charlotte) Sanders of State Line and Mrs. Alfred (Fannie) Ingalsbe of Veedersburg; a son, Herman of Alvin; a sister, Mrs. Minerva Ray of Rossville, Ill; two brothers, William Allison of Salem and Frank Allison of Danville, Ill; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers and her parents. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Morrison Funeral Home in Bismarck. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today July 24 at the First Church of Christ at Bismarck, Ill, Kenneth Fetters officiated and burial was in Sunset Memorial Park north of Danville, Ill. - kbz
