DeBRUICKER, Peter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Peter DeBruicker, 80, of Attica Route 1, died Wednesday (May 17, 1972) in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, a patient for two weeks and had been ill about a month. Born July 4, 1891, in Amsterdam, Holland, he was the son of Jacob and Mary Kerkhove DeBruicker. He came to Attica when he was 6 years old and had been a resident here since that time. On Feb. 18, 1914, in Attica, he married Clemencia DeSutter, who died May 22, 1964. He had been a farmer east of Attica most of his life. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. Survivors include two daughters Mrs. Chares (Anna Marie) Terrell of Attica Route 1 and Mrs. Don (Loretta) Shuppert of Plymouth, Ind.; two sons, Eugene of Otterbein and Vincent of Sarasota, Fla.; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dale Mause funeral home. Services were Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church, with the Rev. Edward Matuszak officiating. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery. - jlr
