DeATH, Mary Sapper - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mary A. DeAth of near Mellott, age 67, died Saturday night, July 3, at her home. She was born at Bowling Green, Kentucky, July 21, 1914, the daughter of Roy and Anna Hespen Sapper. October 28, 1939, she married Robert DeAth, who survives. A member of Mellott United Church of Christ, she retired in 1877 as head cook at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica. She had also cooked at Richmond Township School and Fountain Central High School.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Rita Kemp of Covington; two sons, Bob DeAth of Veedersburg and Greg DeAth of Fairfield, Iowa; a sister, Sarah Kiger of Indianapolis and seven grandchildren.

  The body was taken from Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro to Mellott United Church of Christ for funeral services Wednesday morning. Rev. John Fleming officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. -s
