Mellott - Everett E. DeAth, 99, retired Mellott area farmer died at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been in failing health several years. Mr. DeAth was a member of Mellott United Church of Christ. He attended Vorhees School near Mellott. He was born in Fountain County March 27, 1878, a son of Millard and Elizabeth Campbell DeAth. He married Jan 8, 1901 Myrtle Shade. She died Nov 20,1956. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Beckelhymer of Veedersburg and Mrs. Fern Amundson of Lafayette; and a sister, Mrs. Marie Coats of Veedersburg. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Crumley- WIlliams Funeral Home at Hillsboro. Burial in Rose Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday.
