Stephen A. Wade received word Sunday night of the sudden death of his sister, Mrs. Cora DeArmond at her home in Mecca at 77 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. DeArmond was born Aug 7, 1879 in Montgomery County the daughter of Aaron Thomas and Sarah E. Dotson Wade. When she was a small child the whole Wade family moved to Mellott. She married William DeArmond of Mellott who passed away in 1969 (blurred). She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Clyde Delp of __ (more blurring); Mrs. of ___ ; Mrs. Kenneth Brewington of Bedford; Mrs. Winn McPeake of Battle Creek, Mich and Mrs. Elmer Washam of Rosedale; four sons: Robert of Baltimore, Md; William W of Indianapolis; Everett of Marion and Charles of Mecca; four brothers, John Wade of Jasonville; Clyde Wade of Anderson and Stephen A and Wallace Wade of Mellott; 38 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. The body is at the Barners Funeral Home in Rockville pending funeral arrangements. – kbz
