Maurice 'Brownie' R. Day, 63, Crawfordsville, died 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in Williamsburg Healthcare. Mr. Day worked for Raybestos Products Co. for 34 years. His memberships included the American Hunting Club. He attended Tangier, Kingman and Waveland schools. He was born May 9, 1939 in Parke County to Murl and Geneva Lewis Day. He married Betty Bannon. She survives.Also surviving are five sisters, Wanda Fay Ratcliff, Hillsboro, Josephine Bell Stewart, Oklawaha, Fla., Nora Ann Day, Crawfordsville, Martha Rose Jardell, Orange, Texas, and Mary Abbie Fischer, Alamo. Four brothers, Glenwood, Gordon, Jack and Dick, and a sister, Susie, are deceased.Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with the Rev. Jim Rivers officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill North Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today.
