Waveland - Mrs. Geneva Day, 63, a resident of Waveland for many years, died Thursday at the State Hospital for Chest Diseases at Rockville where she had been a patient for the past four months. She was born in Fountain County July 26, 1902, a daughter of John and Josephine Moore Lewis. Her husband was Murl Day who died Aug 14, 1961. She also was preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Almeda Catterson of near Bloomingdale and Mrs. Mamie Myers of South Bend; five sons, Archie Glenwood of Battle Ground; Gordon of Darlington and John, Morris and Richard at home; six daughters, Mrs. Susie Witsman of Covington; Mrs. Wanda McMasters of Wallace; Mrs. Josephine Stewart of Waveland, Miss Nora Ann Day at home; Mrs. Mary Fisher of Alamo and Mrs. Martha Rose Peterman of Crawfordsville; 28 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Woodrow Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Niles officiaitng. Burial in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Friends may call at the Woodrow Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
