DAY, Bertha Lou - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Bertha Lou, daughter of John and Mary Day was born on a farm near Veedersburg July 2,1914 and departed this life at Lake View Hosp Danville Ill Feb 1, 1932 at the age of 17 years, 6 and 14 days. She has spent almost her entire life in this vicnity. She attended the public shcool at Sterling and grad with the class of '28. She also attended the Veedersburg HS on eyear at which time she quit on account of her health. She united with the Sterling Chr Church 7 years ago during the pastorate of Rev. Harry Berry. On Aug 21, 1931 she was united in marriage with Jerry Quiggle. She has never enjoyed rugged health but she declined rapidly in health the last several weeks and on Jan 10 was admitted as a patient to the Lake View Hospital..survive husband, the parents, one sister and four brothers,namely: Eva; Willie; Artlie Ollie and Leslie. 11 nephews & nieces.
