Danville, Ill. - Arlie Allen Day, age 62, of 106 E. Bridge St., father of Mrs. Helen Pithoud of Kingman and brother of Ollie Day of Veedersburg, died at &:35 a.m. Sunday Nov 11, at Lakeview Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday. Mr. Day retired recently after being employed for 15 years as a line foreman for the Illinois Power Co. Born Dec. 10, 1899, in Morgan County Ky., he was a son of John B. and Mary Peyton Day. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Pitrhoud of Kingman; a son, Wilbur of San Diego, Calif.; two step-sons, Carl and Max Goulding both of Danville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ruth Jett of Danville; two brothers, Leslie Day of Richmond, Va., and Ollie Day of Veedersburg; 23 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Goulding Day, whom he married Oct, 28, 1960, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.m today, Nov. 14, at the Berhalter Funeral Home in Danville. Burial was in the Rockfield Cemetery east of Veedersburg.
