DAVIS, Willard "Taffy" - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Willard G. “Taffy” Davis of Stringtown, age 69, died Thursday, July 1, in the Veterans Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Stringtown, February 21, 1913, the son of Ross Elmer and Maude Hack Davis. A veteran of World War II, he was a retired farm laborer.

  Surviving are seven sisters, Pearl Bassett and Mildred Williamson of Perrysville, Lucille Ping of RR 1, Covington, Alma Johnson of Cayuga, Fauniel Daniels of Rockville, Laura Bell Davis and Doris Davis, both of Stringtown; a brother, Don Edwards Davis of Cayuga; two unless, an aunt and several nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Burial was in Coal Creek Cemetery.
