Funeral service for Ralph Davis, 50, native and former resident of Hillsboro, was held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. G. T. Johnson, pastor of the Hillsboro Methodist Church officiating. Organ music was by Mrs. Crumley and relatives served as pall bearers with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
Mr. Davis was employed as a chef in Lafayette. He was stricken with a heart attack and was removed to the Home Hospital in Lafayette, where, he died an hour later at 7:30 p.m. He resided in West Lafayette.
He was born and reared in the Hillsboro vicinity, the son of Floyd and Aerie Davis. He is survived by
the widow, Ruby Wade Davis, formerly of Mellott; & a son, Teddy Davis, by a former marriage and a step daughter. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Pauline Moore, of Rantoul, Ill.; four brothers, Elsworth Davis, of Rantoul; Cecil Davis, of Champagne, Ill.; Lewis and Glen Davis, both of Crawfordsville. - jz
