DAVIS, Loy E.. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Loy E. Davis of 1740 S. Fairway, Springfield, Missouri, age 74, died July 16 of cancer. Davis was a professor emeritus of Purdue University. He graduated from Drury College in 1928, did graduate work at the University of Michigan and the University of Iowa, and taught English at Purdue for 44 years. Survivors include the widow, June; three stepchildren, Mrs. Helen Hoagland of Anderson, Arnold L. Keeling of Veedersburg and Dennis W. Keeling of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Leone Wiley of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Lydia B. Miller of Covington; and five step grandchildren.   Burial was at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.- thanks to S
