Lloyd L. Davis, 57, lifetime resident of Fountain County, died while undergoing surgery at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. He entered the hospital Thursday. Mr. Davis was born May 25, 1903 to Nelson and Zitorha Knowles Davis. Surviving are the widow, Bertha Brooks Davis; a son, Ray; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie McMurtrie; a brother, Huber Davis and 9 grandchildren. Mr. Davis was employed as a meat cutter at Liberty Market north of Danville. Mr. Davis was the son-in-law of Ms. Cora Brooks. Those attending the funeral on Sunday from here were Mrs. Cora Brooks and Clyde and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Stockwell and family. Burial in Osborn Prairie Cemetery.

Funeral services for Lloyd L. Davis, age 57, lifetime resident of Fountain County, who died while under going surgery at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct 21, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, were held Sunday afternoon, Oct 23, at the Stone Bluff EUB Church. Interment was in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery with the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Davis was born May 25, 1903, to Nelson and Zithorha Knowles Davis. He was employed as a meat cutter at the Liberty Market north of Danville. Mr. Davis had entered the hospital on Thursday. Surviving are the widow, Bertha Brooks Davis; a son, Ray Davis of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie McMurtrie of Attica; a brother, Huber Davis of Mansfield, Ill., and nine grandchildren. - thanks, Beth R.

Lloyd L.(Leon) Davis, a life resident of Fountain County, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday (Oct. 21, 1960) in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville where he became a surgical patient Thursday.
Born May 25, 1903, in Fountain County, he was a son of Nelson and Zitorha Knowles Davis.
He was married to Bertha Brooks, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie McMurtrie of Attica; a son Ray of Crawfordsville, and a brother, Hubert of Mansfield, Ill.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stone Bluff Evangelical United Brethren Church. Burial were in Osborne's
