COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – Services will be at 4 p.m. EDT Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home for Mrs. Flora Maude Davis, 44, of Covington, Route 1. She died at 11:15 a.m. yesterday at her home. The Rev. Gordon Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Born Jan. 26, 1925, in Danville, she was the daughter of Richard D. and Mabel Toopes Marble. She was married March 2, 1942, to James C. Davis, who survives. Mrs. Davis had been a resident of the Covington area since 1960, after moving from Danville. She was employed at the bakery in the Covington IGA store until ill health forced her retirement. She was formerly employed at Windbreaker Jackets in Danville. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Danville and the Covington Saddle Club. Other survivors include a son, Sgt. Richard Davis of Fort Benjamin Harrison; two daughters, Roberta and Margaret, both at home; her stepmother, Mrs. Mary C. Marble of Covington Route 2; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Christenson of Danville and Mrs. Peggy Clark of Covington, and a grandson, She was preceded in death by her parents. – jlr
