DAVIS, Alice Elmore - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Alice May DAVIS, 64, wife of Elliott Davis died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since the Saturday before. She had been in failing health for several years. Born Jan 21, 1890 at Cyclone, Indiana, the daughter of Alfred c. and Martha Elmore, she was a graduate of Covington HS and a member of the Church of Christ in Crawfordsville. Mr. and Mrs. Davis moved to Waveland 10 years ago. Since then they have resided here. Previously they were residents of Indianapolis. Surviving besides the husband are four daughters: Mrs. Violet Dow, Indianapolis; Mrs. Marjorie Bourne, Indianapolis; Mrs. Marie Weiger, Waveland and Miss Hildredth Davis of Waveland; four grandchildren, a brother, Paul Elmore, Salem, Oregon. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held at the Bright Funeral Home Monday at 1:00 p.m. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. - kbz
