Mrs. Clara Lucille Davidson, 53, a resident of this community practically all her life died at her home at 10 a.m. Wednesday Jan 26, 1955. Mrs. Davidson was born in Fountain County on Oct 1, 1901 the daughter of Elmer and Hulda Leas. She was married June 14, 1924 to Frank Davidson who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James McCollum of Ambia, Ind; two grandchildren Linda and Charles McCollum, two brothers, Forrest Leas of Veedersburg; Freeman Leas of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Phillips, Oxford Ind and a host of friends. She was a member of the Osborn Prairie Church, the Wallac Order of Eastern Star and the Rural Troy Home Economics Club. She was educated in the Stone Bluff Grade school and graduated from Crawfordsville HS and Hanover College. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon with brief services at the family home at 1:30 and 2:00 o’clock at the Osborn Prairie Church with Rev. Thomas E. Linton in charge. Burial will be in Osborn Prairie Cemetery with Parham Funeral Home in charge. – kbz
