Hillsoboro- Mrs. Ada Davidson, 79-year-old former Hillsboro resident, died at 5 p.m. Saturday at the home of a son, Edwin Davidson, at Clermont. She had made her home with her son for the past five years and had been ill several weeks. Born March 15, 1880, near Mellott, she was a daughter of Benjamin and Mollie Brown Riley. She married Otto Davidson Jan. 1, 1899. He died in 1942. Mrs. Davidson lived most of her life in Fountain County. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Mellott. Surviving in addition to her son, are two other sons, Leslie of LeRoy, Ill., and Marion of Clarks Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Franklin of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Lucille Sharp of Speedway; a sister, Mrs. Ena Wuthrick of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crumley Funeral Home here with Rev. Lattimer, pastor of the Clermont Christian Church, in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery here. Mrs. Ada Davidson, 79, former Hillsboro resident, died at 5 p.m. Saturday at the home of her son, Edwin Davidson, at Clermont.
Born March 15, 1880, near Mellott, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Mollie Brown Riley. She was married to Otto Davidson January 1,1899 and he preceded her in death in 1942.
Mrs. Davidson was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Mellott.
Surviving in addition to her son, Edwin, are two other sons, Leslie of LeRoy, Ill., and Marion or Clark's Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Lucile Sharp, of Speedway and Mrs. Evelyn Franklin of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Ura Wuthrick, of Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Chauncy Lattimer, officiating.
Organ music by Mrs. Mary Louise Newman, who also accompanied Mrs. Betty Spoor, who sang In The Garden.
Pall bearers who also assisted with the flowers were grandsons:
Gene Ryan, Melvin Davidson, Carl and Darwin Franklin, John Truax and Joe Pollett. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. - jz
