DARWACTOR, James Alva - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

James A. Darwactor, 74, Rt. 2, Veedersburg, died Sunday (Feb 8, 1970) at his home south of Veedersburg. Mr. Darwactor was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Prairie Creek Baptist Church. Born Oct. 21, 1895, in Fountain County, he was a son of Gilbert and Alice Dickman Darwactor. He was one of three children. He was married Oct. 24, 1920, to Ruth Clift. She died Nov. 12, 1952. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Mildred Darwactor, at home and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son , Charles, who died Jan 22, 1969. He is also survived by half-brothers and sisters. Funeral services Tuesday with the Rev. Richard Baker of Crawfordsville officiating. Burial in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.
