DARWACTOR, Charles William - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica - Charles William Darwactor, 45, 809 E. Jackson St, Attica, died 12:30 Wednesday at Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis, where he had been a patient 10 days. He recently underwent surgery. A native of Veedersburg, he was born May 10, 1923, the son of James and Ruth Cliff Darwactor. His marriage July 6, 1951 was to Josephine Sproules. He had been employed at Harrison Steel Castings Co. He and his family moved from Veedersburg to Attica 12 years ago. Mr. Darwactor was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; his father, in Veedersburg: a sister, Miss Mildred Darwactor of Veedersburg; three sons, Michael, Kenneth and Danny, at home; and three daughters, Cheryl, Susan and Deborah, at home. Services were Saturday afternoon at Roemer funeral Home, with Rev. Harry Randolph officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Mrs. Jeffrey Walters rendered appropriate musical selections at the organ. Pallbearers were; Lowell Riley, Harold L. Williams, Robert Myers, Hubert Gale, Richard Gaylor and Tim Wilson.
