AMBIA, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Susie A. Dalton, 80, of Ambia, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 3, 1971) in Home Hospital at Lafayette. Born in Warren County, July 24, 1891, she was the daughter of Isaac D. and Margaret Hindman High. She was married in 1916 at Pine Village, Ind., to A. Carter Dalton, who survives. A resident of the Locust Grove community all her life, Mrs. Dalton attended Locust Grove Grade School and the Indianapolis Conservatory of Music. She taught music in the Locust Grove community. Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Moore of Brazil, Ind.; five sons, Joseph A., Edgar W. and Glen D. Dalton, all of Boswell, Delmont R. Dalton of Scotsdale, Ariz., and Donald M. Dalton of Attica; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Rosie Hooker of Pine Village; and a brother, W. E. High of Chalmers, Ind. She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and one son, William E. Dalton, who was killed in 1943 in Europe during World War II. She was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church and Woman's Society of Christian Service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Merlin R. Caruthers officiating. The body will be brought to the church one hour before services. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Yuill-Shoemaker Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. --waw
