Bismarck - William Scott Cunningham, 66, a life resident of the Walnut Corner community, died last night (July 19, 1966) in his sleep at his home, southeast of Bismarck. He had been ill several years. Ralph Sargent, Vermilion County coroner, investigated and attributed death to natural causes. Born July 5, 1900, in the same home, he was the son of W.O. and Etta Clem Cunningham. He was married Sept. 19, 1923, to Beatrice Young, who survives. Mr. Cunningham was a prominent area farmer. He graduated from Bismarck schools and Brown Business College. He was a member of the Walnut Corner Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Elks Lodge 332. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jones of Fithian rural route; a son, W.O. Cunningham of Alvin rural route; two brothers, Lowell of Ithaca, N.Y., and Roy of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Badewitz of Alvin and Mrs. Earl Payton of Bismarck; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. The body is at the Morrison Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete.

Bismarck - Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Walnut Corner Church of Christ for William Scott Cunningham, 66, a life resident of the Walnut Corner Community. He died Tuesday night in his sleep at his home, southeast of Bismarck. Robert Huxtable and the Rev. Glenn Patton will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Corner Cemetery. The body is at the Morrison Funeral Home in Bismarck. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow. The body will be taken to the church at noon Saturday.
