Newtown - Mrs. Marguerite L. Cunningham, 86, Rt 13, Lafayette died Friday. A former resident of Newtown, she had lived in the Lafayette area the last 25 years. She was a member of the Newtown Methodist Church. Mrs. Cunningham was a daughter of James L. and Isabella Crowell McCauley and was born June 22, 1878 at Abingdon, VA. She married John Cunningham Sept 21, 1902 at Briston, VA. Survivors include three sons, King of near Veedersburg; Clarence of Romney and John Jr of Pocahontas, MO; a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Jack) Johnson of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Shultz of Newtown; a brother, Claude of Rt 1 Wingate; and 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services are announced for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with interment in Newtown Cemetery, Rev. Peter Heemstra will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
