CUNNINGHAM, Margaret Rogers

Covington, Jan 16 (1944)– Mrs. Margaret H. Cunningham, age 79, pioneer resident of the Covington community, died at 11:30 o’clock Friday morning at her home on N 3rd St here. She had been in failing health for several months. Mrs. Cunningham was the daughter of William and Catherine Hagley Rogers, who lived near Covington. She was born June 14, 1864 and had lived her entire lifetime in Fountain County.  In 1906 she was married to CV Cunningham who died in August 1943.  They resided on a farm near Covington.  Mrs. Cunningham is survived by a brother, Clement Rogers of near Covington and several nephews and nieces. She had no children.  Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. JS White, pastor of the Methodist Church in charge. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery near Covington.
