GEORGETOWN (CNS) – Guy Cunningham, 78, of 202 W. 13th, Georgetown, died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 23, 1970) at his home. Born Sept. 5, 1892, in Martinsville, he was the son of Squire and Dora Swallum Cunningham. He was married Dec. 21, 1913, at Indianola to Nellie Goodwin, who survives. Mr. Cunningham, a retired meat cutter, had resided in the Georgetown and Indianola communities most of his life. Other survivors include a son, Paul of Ridge Farm; three daughters, Mrs. Jean Caudill and Mrs. Betty Clark, both of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Maxine Coan of West Lafayette; two brothers, William and Layle, both of Martinsville; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Brosman of Martinsville, Mrs. Reva Bennett of Terre Haute and Mrs. Joy Marshall of Billings, Mont.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Houghton Funeral Home. Orville Hubbart will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday.
