Melott Oct 25 - Waltz Crumley, 65, a farmer and blacksmith died at midnight last night at his home near here from a stroke of paralysis which he suffered last Thursday. Born on the old Crumley homestead, he was a son of Henry and Julia Crumley. He spent his life in this community. On October 6 he and Mrs. Crumley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Crumley formerly was Della Drollinger. Mr. Crumley was a member of the Christian Congregational Church and Red Men's Lodge here. Besides his widow he is survived by one son, Clinton near Mellott and a daughter, Leah a school teacher at Milford, Ill and a brother, Ralph Crumley near Mellott. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Christian Congregational Church, the Rev. JE Fry will officiate. - kbz
