Hillsboro -- Mrs. Dicey Crumly (sic), age 90, of Hillsboro, died at 10 p. m. Sunday Sept 29 at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. she had been a patient there since Friday and had been making hr home with a granddaughter, Mrs. Naoma Miles, Crawfordsville. Born Jan 31, 1873, near Mellott, she was the daughter of J. Thomas and Elizabeth Lighty McCollum. She was married May 11, 1891 to Alvertie Thomas Crumly, who preceded her in death in 1928. They had resided on a farm north of HIllsboro and Mrs. Crumly had resided in the Hillsboro community for 35 years. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Irene Bayless of Crawfordsville and mrs. Alice Helmick of HIllsboro; two sons, Ward of Veedersburg, and Fred of Falls Church, Va; a sister, Mrs. Susie Craine of Crawfordsville; a brother, Samuel of Veedersburg; 23 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Crumley Funeral Home. The Rev. Ross Kirk officiated. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery.
