CRUEA, Cora Hancock - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington - Cora Cruea, 103, Covington, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday, Feb 21, 2003 in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport. She was Covington's oldest resident. She was born Oct 11, 1899 in Fountain (Portland Arch), the daughter of George and Jane Brown Hancock. She married Earl W. Cruea July 22, 1943. He preceded in death July 23, 1959. She was a resident of Portland Arch in early life, she moved to Covington in 1926. She was a homemaker and member of Orchard Hills Church of Christ. Survivors include a sister, Vina Rennick, Crawfordsville and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a newphew whom she raised, Robert Rennick, five brothers and two sisters. Gravesite services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington, with Pastor Paul Kent officiating. Shelby Funeral Home, Covington was in charge of arrangements.  -- donated obit
