Kingman -- Arthur Dale Cruea, 49-year-old brother of Fountain County Sheriff George Cruea, died of a heart attack early Tuesday at his home here. A son, Robert Dale Cruea, 23, was drowned near Williamsport last month in a fishing accident on the Wabash River. He was born June 19, 1916 at Covington and was a lifelong resident of Fountain County. He had lived at Kingman for the last 25 years. Cruea had been a trucker, had served in the Army Medical Corps during WWII and had attended Covington schools. He was the son of Asa and Bertha Hodge Creua, who survive. In May 1940, he was married to Martha Jean NOoan who also survives. Sons Arthur, Jr. of Covington and Jackie Dean Cruea of Washington, DC 3 daughters, Mrs. Sandra Sue Killian of Danville, Ill and Mitzea Jean and Lynn Maria Cruea at home; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Noble of Covington and Mrs. Lela Clifton of Danville, Ill and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the son and a brother. Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McMillan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday. Burial will be in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.

Arthur Dale Cruea, age 49, a resident of Kingman for the past 25 years, father of Fountain County Deputy Sheriff Arthur Cruea Jr., and brother of Fountain County Sheriff George E. Cruea, suffered a fatal heart attack early Wednesday morning, Aug. 18, and died at 12:45 a.m. at his home. He was born in Covington June 19, 1916, the son of Asa and Bertha Hodge Cruea of Covington. He was a life resident of Fountain County and had lived in Kingman for 25 years. He attended the Covington schools and served in the Medical Corps in World War II. He had been employed as a trucker. He was married May 23, 1940 to Martha Jean Nolan, who survives. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two sons, Arthur Jr. of Covington and Jackie Dean of Washington, D. C.; three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Sue Killian of Danville, Ill., Mitze Jean and Lynn Marie, both at home; six grandchildren; his parents of Covington; one brother, George E. of Covington; and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Noble of Covington and Mrs. Lela Clifton of Danville, Ill. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Dale Cruea, last July 25, and one brother. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington where friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry McMillan, pastor of the Kingman Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
