CROWELL, Pearl Voliva - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Pearl Crowell, oldest daughter of Sherman and Rosa Voliva was born in Richland Township in Fountain County June 19, 1885; departed this life at her home in Danville, Ill March 9, 1915 aged 29 years 8 months and 20 days.  She united with the church at Union in the winter of 1899 under the ministry of Rev. Warbington.  She was married to Joseph R. Crowell June 21, 1903.  The husband and three children, Marie aged 9, Vera aged 7 and an infant son four weeks old survive to mourn the loss of a wife and mother.  Besides these she leave father, mother, two sisters of Danville and one brother of Springfield, Ill. The remains were removed to this place and the funeral was conducted at the Christian Union Church, northwest of Mellott Thursday by Rev. HL Bailey of Mellott after which the remains were laid in the cemetery adjoining the church. --- kbz
