Mrs. Myrtle Newman, 516 Union St., has received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Ethel Crowell, in California. Ethel LaBaw Crowell passed away at her home in Pomona, Calif., Nov. 12, and funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the Todd Memorial Chapel with interment in Pomona Mausoleum. Mrs. Crowell was born Aug. 8, 1879, and grew up in Fountain County. She taught school for a number of years at Rob Roy and Mellott. She was married to Alfred N. Crowell in 1916, and in 1920 they moved to Calif. Mrs. Crowell's husband passed away in 1953. Surviving are a son, Dale Crowell of Downey, Calif.; a grandson; three sisters, Edna LaBaw of Los Angeles, Martha LaBaw of Pomona, and Mrs. Myrtle Newman of Covington; and a brother, Butler LaBaw of San Bernardino, Calif.  typed by Walt W
