Williamsport - Mrs. Eliza Crowder, 73 of Williamsport died at 2:15 p.m. Monday in Community Hospital where she had been a patient since Nov 25. A Fountain County native, she had resided at Williamsport since 1942 and prior to that had lived in the Stringtown area. She was a member of the WLW Bunco Club and Birthday Club. Born Feb 22, 1899, she was a daughter of Nathaniel and Lora Davis Woods. She married Walter Marvin Crowder Dec 24, 1917. He survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Everett of Rt 3, Covington; Wendell of Perrysville and Wayne of Powder Springs, Ga; three daughters, Mrs. Viola Romans of Rt 1, Covington; Mrs. Melvin (Laura Jane) Morlan of Marshfield and Mrs. J.D. (Barbara Sue) Holliman of WIlliamsport; two sisters, Mrs. Vern Crowder of Perrysville and Mrs. Letha Cunningham of North Terre Haute; a brother, Eugene Woods of Perrysville, a half brother, Jesse Keller of Covington; 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son; a sister; two grandsons and two half brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington with Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
