Marshall - Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Farley Speedway Funeral Home for James M. Crowder who died suddenly at his home in Speedway Monday morning. Mr. Crowder was born in Parke County, living here until about 27 years ago when he moved to Indianapolis. He has been employed by the B&O Railroad for the past 40 years. He was supervisor of a crew of men in track maintenance. He is survived by the widow, Nora; four daughters, Wilena, at home, Mrs. Sue Hall and Mrs. Fredia Knapp of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Wandeline Knott of Marshall; a son, Leo of Bloomfield; two step-daughters, Virginia Jimison of Ashland, Ky., and Sherry Deakin of Indianapolis; two step-sons, Willard Mitchell and George Mueir of Indianapolis; two brothers, Pearley of Rockville and Earl of Bloomingdale; three sisters, Sylvia Catterson of Rockville, Lulu Pollard of Ridge Farm, Ill., and Lucile McMahan of Kingman, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Burial was in Floral Park Cemetery at Indianapolis.
