Glenn F. Crowder, 62, of Bloomingdale Rt. 1, died Monday, June 11, 1979 at his home. He had been ill for the past few months. He owned and operated the Crowder-Hutson Feed Store, Kingman for several years. He was the former owner of the Swing-In Service Station on Rt. 41 and was a former school bus driver for Sugar Creek Twp. School. Born July 6, 1916 in Sugar Creek Twp in Parke County, he was the son of George W. and Mary Effie Cox Crowder. He married Eileen McMaster Aug 23, 1938. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William (Glenda) Walter of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Roy (Sharon) Hutson Jr. of Kingman Rt. 1; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Crowder of Bloomingdale RR a brother, Freeman Crowder of Bloomingdale Rt 1; 3 sisters, Mrs. Perry (Irene) Riley and Mrs. Jimmie (Mabel) Pearson both of Marshall and Mrs. Max (Bertha) Brown of Bloomingdale and six grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Woodrow Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Canady officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery near Marshall IN. Friends will be received form 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
