Clark Crowder, 52, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at his home, 515 Heck ct., Benton Harbor. Having been in ill health since 1942. Mr. Crowder suffered a heart attack a week ago and was hospitalized a few days. He was stricken with another heart attack Saturday night, and the Benton Harbor fire department's resuscitator squad was called but the man was pronounced dead when aid reached him. Born Nov. 8, 1899, in Fountain county, Ind., he came to Benton Harbor years ago. He is survived by his wife, who before their marriage July 10, 1939 at Covington, Ind., was Miss Grace Oblinger. Also surviving are five children. Mrs. Rose Meyers, Joliet, Ill.; Leslie Crowder, Danville, Ill.; Donald Lee Crowder, Hillsboro, Ind., and Mrs. Charles Graham and Mrs. Al Rothenburg, both of Benton Harbor, and one grandchild. There are three brothers, Amos and Reason of Veedersburg, Ind., and Otto or Perrysville, Ind. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Florin funeral home, with the Rev. Lester Hale of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Crystal Springs cemetery. Friends may call at the Florin funeral home.
