CROWDER, Clara Bayless - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Wallace - Clara Crowder, 76 of Wallace, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday in Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton, Ind. She had been a clerk for many years in the Foster Store at Wallace, retiring in 1985. She had lived in Wallace all her life.

She was a member of the Wallace Christian Church and attended Wallace HS. She was born June 4, 1912 in Wallace to Jake and Goldie Bowman Bayless. She married Ivan Crowder of Grange Corner May 22, 1937 at Danville, Ill. He died Dec 30, 1973.

Surviving are a brother, Gerald Bayless of Bloomingdale; a sister, Mrs. Mary Harriman of Wallace; and two nephews and a niece.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Mike Sabens officiating. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery north of Kingman. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
