Covington - Flossie A. Crouse, 73, 1514 E. Market St., Indianapolis, formerly of Covington, died Wednesday in Wishard Memorial Hospital at Indianapolis after a long illness. Born Nov. 12, 1903, she was a daughter of Cleveland S. and Hattie Zane Romine. She attended Covington High School and was a resident of Covington until moving to Indianapolis in 1955. She married James Meade Sept. 8, 1921. He preceded her in death. She married Lawrence Otto Crouse on Oct. 30, 1937. He died Nov. 28, 1971. Surviving are six children, James Meade of Indianapolis, Mrs. Loretta Weaver of Waveland, Mrs. Phyllis Lighty of Hillsboro, Charles Meade of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Betty Ann Sullivan of Lafayette and Mrs. Catherine Bloxsom of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Robert Romine of Bloomington; two sisters, Mrs. Faye Coplea of Danville, Ill. and Mrs. Flora Ludlow of Veedersburg; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a son and a daughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home at Covington. The Rev. Edgar Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Prescott Cemetery near Covington. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Friday.
