Waynetown - Mrs. Ellen Loraine Crouse, 40, died at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient since Friday. She had been ill two months. She was born Feb. 20, 1927 in Fulton Township of Fountain County, a daughter of Dewey and Ruth Shaw Howard. She married James Howard Crouse Nov. 1, 1945. She was a member of the Woodlawn Heights Christian Church at Crawfordsville and was a 1945 graduate of Perrysville High School. Survivors include her parents who live at Rt. 1 Covington; her husband; three children, James Earl, Venne Sue and Linda Lou all at home and a brother, Joseph Howard of Angola, Ind. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. (EST) Wednesday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Don Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.

Mrs. Ellen Loraine Crouse, age 40 of Waynetown daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Howard of Covington Rt 1, died at 2 p.m. Monday April 17 in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill where she had been a patient since Friday.
