Warren M. Crouch, 82, State Line, died 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., of multiple internal injuries and fractures suffered in a car-truck crash at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The crash occurred on a rural Warren County road one half mile south of State Line when Crouch tried to turn north onto State Line Road and pulled into the path of a pickup truck. Driver of the pickup, Carl Pendley, Paris, Ill., was not hurt.
The body was taken to the Pape Funeral Home at Danville, Ill., where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday with burial in Masonic Cemetery at State Line.
Warren Milton Crouch was born Dec. 26, 1891, at West Lebanon, the son of Daniel Julius and Rosie Muse Crouch.
He was educated at State Line and had been employed by the C&EI Railroad as a coach painter. His last employment was as an interior and exterior decorator. He was married Oct. 8, 1938, to Mildred McNeese, who preceded him in death in 1956.
Surviving are two brothers, Arthur Jordan Crouch, Rt. 2, Covington, and Paul Lewis Crouch, Danville, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
