Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Sarah Bowman Crisp, 58, native of Wallace, who died Friday monring at her home at North Vernon, Indiana. The services, starting at 2 o'clock were held at the Lutheran Church, one mile east of Wallace, with burial in the Cemetery adjoining the church. Mrs. Crisp had been in failing health for 3 years and seriously ill for three months with a complication of diseases. Born Oct 23, 1877, the daughter of Henry and Martha Bowman. Mrs. Crisp grew to young womanhood in the Wallace vicinity. She was marr to Jefferson D. Crisp and had been living in North Vernon for nearly 20 years. Surivors besides the husband are a son, Ralph Cirsp of Austin, Ind; a duaghter, mIss Mary Ellen Crisp at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Wildman of Wallace and Mrs. Una Keller of Manpeno, Ill and two brothers, Joe and Homer Bowman, both of Wallace.-- typed by kbz
