Ann Lou Crider, 72, of Covington died at 3 p.m. on Wednesday Jan 14, 1998 at United Samaritan Medical, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. Born in Fountain County, on April 21, 1925, she was the daughter of Joe S. and Blanche (Boord) Newman. Her marriage was on August 5, 1945 in Sterling, to Clifford Crider. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Richard (Vickie) Crider of Sikeston, MO; Wayne (Mary) Crider and David (Jill) Crider, both of Veedersburg; two daughters, Donna J (Ronald) Garrison of Veedersburg and Debi (Todd) Hegg of Covington; a brother, Joe A. Newman of Hillsboro; four sisters, Frances Ingersoll of Waynetown, Josephine Grubb of Newtown, Barbara Ludlow of Covington and Lois Mitton of Waynetown; and 13 grandchildren. Mrs. Crider was a homemaker. She was a member of Osborne Prairie Church in Stone Bluff, OES of Covington and Rural Troy Home Economic Club. Graveside service was held at Osborne Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. A memorial service was held at Sterling Christian Church following graveside service.
