Kermit Cooper, 77, a native of Hillsboro, died at 7 a. m. Thursday, July 24, in his Kokomo home. . . . He was born Nov. 28, 1908. He was married to Ileen Snyder, who survives. . He was a retired area manager for Public Service Indiana in Kokomo. He also had worked for the company in Attica, Mulberry, New Castle and Wabash before moving to Kokomo. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kokomo, the Hillsboro Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine, Fort Wayne, and the Kokomo Country Club. He was a 1927 graduate of West Newton High School near Indianapolis. He was a veteran of the Army Signal Corps, serving in Africa and Europe during World War II. Surviving, besides his wife, are a brother, Marion B. Cooper, Crawfordsville, and two nephews and a niece. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Allen Rumble officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
