Attica, Feb 23 – John Crawford, Sr, 89, died at 4:30 a.m. today at his home southeast of here after an illness of four weeks. Born in Shawnee Township, he was a retired farmer and spent his entire life in this vicinity. He was married May 29, 1890, to Laura Louella Shultz, who died in 1949. He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Eva Lorene Asmodt, Olympia, Wash Mrs. Crystal Bell, Newtown; John Crawford of near Attica; and Alma Crawford at home; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Myers, Everett, Wash and Mrs. Minnie Umsted, Oakland, Cal and a brother, Guy Crawford of Veedersburg.

Friends may call at the family residence, southeast of Attica, Thursday. Services there Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. OL Collier officiating. Burial in Newtown cemetery, Coffing and Robinson funeral home, Attica, in charge.
