Fred R Crane 69, Route 2, Riverside, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday (May 4, 1969) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, where he had been a patient since April 30. Mr. Crane was born north of Independence, Warren County, IN, April 13, 1900, the son of William V. and Sarah Leona Hall Crane. He was married Dec. 1922 at Covington to Ella Hullihan. He was employed at Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica for 20 years as a core maker and was a school bus driver for 24 years. He had lived in Riverside the past 46 years. Mr. Crane was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. Surviving besides the widow are a son, Leo Crane of Attica Route 2; a sister, Mrs. John Berlin, Attica; a brother, Cecil Crane, Attica, and two grandchildren. One son, Ralph was killed January 6, 1945 in action in World War II. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica. Rosary will be held in the DeSutter Chapel at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Church with the Rev. Charles Remaklus officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.-- tch
